Het Luxor is zo’n gebouw dat je direct ziet wanneer je de imposante skyline van Las Vegas nadert. Dit piramidevormige resort is nu al ruime tijd toonaangevend voor de gokstad.

In 1993 werd ‘ie voltooid: dit gigantische, piramide entertainmentcomplex aan het begin – of juist het einde – van de Las Vegas Boulevard. Compleet in Egyptische stijl, inclusief replica van de Sfinx van Gizeh. De bijbehorende piramide met hotelkamers komt zélfs voor in de top tien hoogste piramides ter wereld. Daarnaast had Michael Jackson een persoonlijke suite ergens bovenin het bouwwerk.
